Ingredients:

  • ~12 oz Popsie Sockeye Salmon Portions (two portions)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp mirin (rice wine) or dry white wine
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Remove skin from the salmon and cut into chunks, roughly 1in/2.5cm square and put in a sealable bag or box.
  2. Mix together the soy sauce, mirin and 2 tbsp honey until combined, then pour in with the fish. Leave to marinade for 10-20 minutes, turning once or twice to ensure all the fish takes on the marinade.
  3. Thread pieces salmon onto skewers.
  4. Grill for 7 minutes, turning often, and then brush the remaining tbsp of honey onto both sides of the skewers. Cook for another 3 minutes, depending on your grill and size of the fish chunks, until the fish is cooked through. No grill? No worries. This recipe is just as delicious using the broiler in your oven, electric grill, or stovetop grilling pan.
  5. Plate and sprinkle with sesame seeds as garnish.

Notes:

You can also add veggies such as asparagus into your marinade and grill them as well. They are guaranteed to be delicious!
