I was a little worried about ordering a few months after season but the sockeye portions I received are great quality - beautiful color, no freeze damage, no odor. The plastic they come in is very thick - thicker than my order from another supplier, and they look like they will hold a seal for longer, so I hope popsie keeps using the same processor/packager.

I received my first box of Sockeye Salmon yesterday. WOW, I baked my first piece of salmon tonight in the oven with lemons, olive oil, oregano, thyme, and salt. It was incredible. This is the best salmon I have ever ate. I have ordered three boxes and intend to order in the future. The only complaint I have is with my last order which took five days to get here and was partially thawed. The previous two orders were solidly frozen.

It arrived with the dry ice melted, which wasn't a problem as the salmon portions were still frozen solid. I really liked the portions, rather than a fillet. I can just pop one out of the freezer in the morning and make dinner quickly at night. So that's a great marketing strategy. I'm sorry I didn't take any photos of dinner. I just pan-fried it in grass-fed butter and a few chili flakes. I suggest you include a note suggesting taking photos/videos and returning them with the review. It never occurred to me to do that. You're doing a great job; keep it coming!

5 pound sockeye order arrived promptly. Contents were well insulated and frozen rock solid upon arrival. I bake with flavored butter....yum!!! Delicious! I'll be back for more!

This is the second time I ordered from Popsie, arriving in perfect condition and also received a followup phone call from one of the principals inquiring about the shipment. Even though arriving one day late due to Fed Ex issue, the halibut but still perfectly frozen, and we served much of it last night and it was truly outstanding. Fresh and delicious. Will order again from this company.

I have really enjoyed the convenience of having the salmon delivered to my door! We love the salmon steaks. It makes for a quick after work meal. And the fish is absolutely high quality in texture of the meat and the smells of fresh frozen fish. I just bought salmon from Hyvee in a pinch- won’t do that ever again! After I got it back to my sisters house we unwrapped the fillet which had a smell to it and the meat was squishy. The difference is similar to farm fresh eggs versus store bought eggs. Once you buy Popsie fish you won’t go back to store bought.

This is a perfect way for me to eat my salmon because I just take it out of the freezer and individual size portions let it sit there for a while put it in the toaster oven for a few minutes and I have a yummy and nutritious piece of fish. Bonus is the cat gets the skin. Just as important - this small company is A1! You actually get to talk to a real person! And they call to make sure everything arrived in good condition. I thought I would try real Salmon fresh from Alaska. The portions were smaller than I expected but, in reality really good for a meal switch sides. They take great. The good thing about smaller portions is that I can thaw quickly for a great last minute meal.

My family was a bit skeptical on this fish but now it has become one of our top favorites. We order in bulk since we use so much and it has brought fish into our diet. The fish is so fresh and arrives well frozen even in the summer heat. They package it well and it arrives quickly. Its fun now exploring new recipes for this fish. Its not so good for fish and chips (frying) but baking and grilling this fish does wonderful. Always is moist and flavorful.

Received our 2nd shipment of Sockeye Salmon within days of placing the order. Still frozen and well packed, they do an excellent job of shipping their product. Pulled out a couple of fillets and an hour or so later they were on the stovetop in a little oil, fresh onion and seasoning. So easy and delicious. Paired it with corn on the cob and a salad for a great meal. This salmon is just the best! Will share pics via Facebook page so you can see how it turned out.

I would have given 5 stars except I never received a tracking number. Just an email saying it was shipped and I could track it. But no tracking number was ever given and no estimated delivery date was provided. I was just about to email for status when it showed up at my door. Fortunately, I was home when it came.

After thawed, the color was bright red and looks great; however, the flesh broke apart. Wasn’t suitable for sashimi. It tasted very good, a bit lean though.

Fish was very fresh and delivery was on time. Packaging was very good. Just know that regardless of what the company says verbally, the fish may not arrive with skin on. I called before ordering the 10 lbs to ask specifically and was told it would have skin, but when it arrived, not one of the 30 or so pieces had skin on it. Called back and was given a different explanation. Just know what you're ordering.
